Chicago Bears Player Released for Domestic Violence

Ray McDonald has once again been accused of domestic violence and is being released from the Chicago Bears, according to the San Jose Mercury News. McDonald was previously with the San Francisco 49ers, but was released due to a similar incident that occured at his home last August. The victim who reported the incident last week, says she was assaulted while holding a baby.

The General Manager for the Bears, Ryan Pace, explained that the team was willing to give McDonald another chance after the August incident and several other sexual assault allegations. However, after the defensive tackle was accused again, the team knew it was time to cut him loose. McDonald had just recently signed on to play for the Bears in March after some deliberation concerning his past. He was taken to the Santa Clara County Main Jail last Monday.
