USA Today reported that The Supreme Court will now allow reports of child abuse from teachers who spoke to the abused children to be submitted as testimony. This decision came on June 18th, when teachers at a day care saw that a 3 1/2-year-old boy had visible wounds on his body. When the teachers asked him how he was injured, he told them that his mother's boyfriend was responsible.

Since the boy was too young to testify, the teachers' reports were submitted at the trial. This was enough to convict Darius Clark and send him to prison for 28 years. In 2012, the Ohio Supreme Court released him, because they said he was denied the constitutional right to confront his accuser. However, the unanimous decision in June overruled that despite what Clark's attorney's claimed.
