Malnourished Children Hospitalized; Father in Custody

Two children are hospitalized after their mother discovered them malnourished and dehydrated after she returned home from being out of state for two months. She had left the children under the care of their biological father. The children's father is in custody on possible charges of child neglect and child endangerment, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office.

The children are aged 2 and 3, according to recent reports documenting the calls between a local hospital and the Sheriff's Office regarding the welfare of the children. Later reports reveal nearly a pound of suspected marijuana and an extremely filthy living area littered with garbage and dog feces inside the father's home.
